Back to School Night at Primary!

On the 19th August, our Primary School held its first Back to School Night. The evening was a chance for parents and students to hear and connect with ISHCMC’s leadership team and learn about what is in store for the future. This session was specially for Upper Primary, G2 -S5, with a second session being held on Thursday 26th August for Lower Primary EE-G1 Parents

Speaking at the event, Kim Green, Head of School shared, “We are so delighted to have you (new families) here as part of our school community and we are so delighted to welcome our returning families back. At ISHCMC, we have an outstanding team, our teachers are incredibly qualified and most importantly very passionate about you and your children.”

While, Kate Grant, Principal of ISHCMC Primary shared the campus’s approach to education during this tough period of lockdown within the country. “We will look to prioritize relationships this year, it is very important for the home and school to work together. It is also very important that we reach out to each other, especially now during these difficult times. We commit to prioritizing our relationship with you, our parents.”

The evening also provided a chance for parents to connect with other members of the leadership team at Primary, with Lianne Kalapaca, Vice Principal sharing “I am really excited to welcome back you all to school and I look forward to seeing you all soon". Daniel Baker, a new addition to the team introduced himself, revealing “I am very eager to meet everybody and see the school. Looking forward to meeting you all.”

As well as hearing from the leadership team, the evening also provided a chance to inform our parents about what the Primary Years Program has in store as well as big events throughout the year such as the Global Be Well Day.

As a reminder a second session for Lower Primary EE-G1 Parents will be held on Thursday 26th August. Please check your Seesaw for more details.
