The International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) is excited to announce a new and impactful partnership with Anh Chi Em, a social enterprise dedicated to empowering families in Central Vietnam and beyond. Inspired by a shared vision of creating a sustainable future, this collaboration aims to actively involve the entire ISHCMC community in initiatives that improve lives and enrich educational experiences.
Anh Chi Em's vital work focuses on providing clean water, weather-safe homes, and education for families facing the harsh realities of extreme weather. These families struggle to maintain safe living conditions, hindering their livelihoods and well-being. Alongside ongoing ad-hoc emergency relief efforts, Anh Chi Em offers educational and skill development programs, paving the way for a more secure future.
Anh Chi Em was founded by our very own ISHCMC parent Colin Dixon who shared “Over four years ago Anh Chi Em emerged from the generosity and love in this community and our partnership with ISHCMC is another demonstration of this. Hand in hand we can help break the cycle of poverty endured by our brothers and sisters.”
At ISHCMC, fostering global citizenship and community engagement is paramount. We strive to instill empathy, social responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the world in our students. Our Head of School Kim Green, shared, "We are delighted to formally partner with Am Chi Em. This partnership offers a unique opportunity for our students to connect with their host country on a personal level while contributing to a cause that aligns with our school's mission”
