Our Grade 8 Further students, since the start of the year, have been learning about Algebra and graphing. In our first unit, students furthered their understanding of linear (straight) lines. They were tasked to create any pieces of art of their choosing using mathematical formulas on the website "Desmos."
In Unit 2, we took the project to the next level. Students learned about other types of non-linear lines. Each student selected a company based in Vietnam, researched their mission, vision, values, and goals, to redesign their logo to fit the needs of the company by only using mathematical formulas. Many of these formulas are highly complex and accurate to very small decimal points.
