After our Secondary students examined the school environment, they found that there was currently a lack of sufficient recycle bins around the campus, and so just before the break, the school community started making recycle bins at our Secondary school.
Not only are the bins themselves made from recycled materials, but the students also decorated the boxes by using different languages, ensuring that ISHCMC will become not just an Eco-School but an “international Eco School!”
Speaking on the project, Liang Zhenying, Mandarin Acquisition Teacher, who is helping support the imitative shared "I am proud that our students are embracing the waste management program by creating recycling bins. Recycling sends a strong message to the school community about
the importance of protecting the environment and also driving our school work towards becoming an eco-school"
Soksoolyn, an ISHCMC student involved in the project agreed, sharing its important for all us to "be the solution, not the problem."
Also supporting the cause was ISHCMC student Gabriel who added "A person's strength is limited, but every little makes a mickle. Come and join us."
