ISHCMC Believer Achiever: Primary Students Bring Disney's Story to Life on Stage!

We are thrilled to share an exclusive interview with William and Katherine, two incredibly talented performers from our primary production team at ISHCMC. These young stars, along with the rest of the crew, recently brought the magic of Disney's "The Jungle Book" to life on stage, captivating audiences with their brilliant performances.

In this special interview, William and Katherine dive into their experiences, the challenges they faced, and the unforgettable moments from the production. From overcoming last-minute obstacles to the joy of performing, they share it all.

Katherine as Shanti

Katherine played the role of Shanti. The role involves a lot of singing, which is her passion. Katherine mentioned that some parts were very challenging, especially one song with very high notes. She practiced diligently to perfect her performance. Katherine hopes the audience appreciates the hard work they put in, saying, "It took a lot of work, but it was really worth it."

William as the Monkey

William took on the role of a monkey, a part he felt suited him well due to his energetic nature. Despite facing the challenge of a last-minute broken foot, William remained undeterred. He had to navigate the stage in a wheelchair, with the help of a Grade 4 student named Joy. William shared his motivational spirit, saying, "Don't be nervous! Don't care what people are saying. If you want to do it, then just do it." He learned that even with a broken foot, he could still participate and enjoy the performance, embodying the mantra, "Never give up and have fun!"

This interview highlights not only the dedication and passion of our young performers but also the supportive community at ISHCMC that encourages every student to shine. William and Katherine's journey in bringing "The Jungle Book" to life, along with the rest of the crew, is a testament to the perseverance and creativity fostered within our school. Special thanks to the dedicated teachers who helped this production come to life.
