Protocol Update Due to COVID-19 Return

Yesterday, we received official letters outlining the need to increase our level of protocols in response to a new wave of COVID-19 here in HCMC. This information is in response to an increase in reported cases of COVID-19 in HCMC.

From this this point forward, [effective from Thursday 20 April], ISHCMC is required to:

  1. Monitor symptoms and cases within the school and report to DOET/Ministry of Health

  2. Report all suspected cases to DOET / Ministry of Health

  3. Strictly apply 2K [Masks & Disinfection] 1. Masks must be worn in confined spaces (e.g. lifts, small offices, meeting rooms) 2. Masks must be worn if you have any symptoms 3. Mask-wearing is encouraged for all

Therefore, moving forward we ask that:

  • Masks are encouraged to be worn by students, teachers and operation staff at all times in classes and corridors

  • Masks must be worn by students, teachers, and operation staff at all times in classes and corridors if they have symptoms

  • Masks must be worn by students, teachers, and operation staff at all times in confined spaces and elevators

Exceptions to Wearing a Mask are as follows:

  • For preschool children

  • For those performing or practicing performing arts

  • For those competing or practicing in sports

  • Wen eating and drinking

Our cleaning team will continue with their regular disinfection, and we encourage you and your children to use hand sanitiser / wash your hands on a regular basis. We will keep you updated as we learn more. If you have any questions at this stage, please reach out to our Community Team, community@ishcmc.com or our Health Center nurse@ishcmc.edu.vn.
